Los Queules National Park(Reads: 401, since 26-Ene-2011)color:black;mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:ES;mso-bidi-language:<br /> AR-SA">It is 71 km west of Cauquenes and 194 km from Talca. The first 50 km are paved as far as Curanipe and the following 21 km to Tregualemu are dirt road. It covers a surface area of 147 hectares and is at 180 metres above sea level. There is a wide variety of floral diversity in this area; every surface is covered in wooded vegetation and huge trees, mainly el Queule and el Pitao, both of which are endangered species. You will also find; hualo, bollén, peumo, litre, laurel, huillipatagua and copihue trees. In terms of fauna, birds are more abundant so you will be able to observe; pitíos, partridges, hawks, falcons, peucos, thrushes, loicas, chercanes, turtledoves, diucones and cachuditos. The park has a forest ranger located at the entrance. There are no picnic facilities but it is open to the public all year round.
