Sightseeing around Tal Tal

Llullaillaco National Park

It is located in an area known as Domeyko in the Andes Mountains and covers a surface area of 263 000 hectares. It gets its name from the volcano which stands at 6 739 metres above sea level inside the park.


The park’s unique characteristic is the coexistence of guanacos and vicuñas,  representing the only place where these animals share the same ecological terrain.  


If you wish to visit the park you will need to schedule the visit with CONAF.


Bandurrias Beach


This is 5 km north of Tal Tal and is suitable for fishing. 


Matancillas Beach


The beach is 5 km north of Tal Tal. It is suitable for swimming and is accessed via a gravel road. 


Cachinales Beach


This beach is 30 km north of Tal Tal. It is good for swimming and fishing. 


Las Lozas Beach


This is 32 km north of Tal Tal and is suitable for swimming and fishing.  


Tierra del Moro Beach


This beach is 3km north of Tal Tal and can be reached by public transport from Tal Tal. It is suitable for swimming and fishing. 


 Poza La Tortuga


This beach is 3km north of Tal Tal. It is suitable for swimming and has camping areas. 


Muelle de Piedra


This beach is situated 2 km north of Tal Tal. It is suitable for swimming and has camping areas. The sand is white and the surf is calm. 


Las Tórtolas Beach


It is south of Tal Tal and suitable for swimming. 


Cifuncho Beach


This beach is located 44 km south of Tal Tal. It is both a beach and a fishing bay. In the surrounding areas you will find lots of different species of cacti and shrubs which blossom in the springtime


The beach is suitable for swimming, fishing and water sports. The sand is light and the surf is calm. 


Esmeralda Bay 


This is 81 km south of Tal Tal and is both a beach and a fishing bay. It is suitable for swimming and fishing. 


Quebrada del Despoblado


This area consists of numerous mines and abandoned mineral deposits. They have signs indicating the different names like Santa Rosa, Gentil, and various others.
