Railroad Station
Located on the coastal road Guillermo Wheelwright de Caldera, it was declared a National Monument in 1964. Its construction dates from 1850, in a time when it served as the main railway terminal for export for the mining industry of Chañarcillo. The first railroad in Chile, and in South America, left from here on 25 December 1851, with the destination Copiapó. It functioned until 1930.

The station was restored, and is maintained by the Municipality of Caldera. Inside, touring exhibitions of paintings and photography are held, and it has a display of marine paleontology pieces sourced from the bed of Bahía Inglesa.

San Vicente de Paul Church
Built out of wood in 1862. It has a stone floor and a gothic tower. Inside you will find the Parish Museum created by the priest Vicente Starlich in 1996.

Casa Siggelkow
Characterized by its Doric columns and its passage out to the street. Its name remembers the German Consul who lived here for more than 60 years. It’s also known as Casa Sayago, since it was built by that same famous historian of Copiapó.

Amphitheater of the Sea
This is a great place to observe the city. During the summer months various activities are organized here for the community and tourists.

Playa Brava
This beach is found in the northern sector of the port of Caldera and is suitable for swimming and water sports.

Playa Mansa
This beach is located in the lower part of the port of Caldera, and is suitable for swimming and water sports.

Plaza Condell
Located in the center of the city, with the cathedral sitting opposite.

Guillermo Wheelwright Coastal Road
This road borders the beach and is very busy in summer. On the other side of the road from the beach there are some ancient buildings including the Ex-Customs House.

Ex-Customs House
This is an ancient building which today has been restored and converted into a Center for Cultural Development, with exhibition halls, conference rooms and regional, cultural exhibits on display.

Caldera Passenger Quay
Located on the coastal road of the city, this is a popular place to take walks and drives throughout the year. From here you can get a lovely view of the sunset. The quay is located opposite the Maritime Ministry buildings, from where you can see the traditional fishermen at work.
