Center

The main part of national trade, services and industry is conducted in this zone. Located on the coast is Valparaíso, the most important port in Chile, and Viña del Mar, a town and tourist attraction where the Internationally renowned Festival de La Canción de Viña del Mar takes place each year. Towards the interior is Santiago, the capital of Chile. This zone is characterized by the abundance of vegetation and its Mediterranean-like climate.
