Where to go in Dalcahue?

Astillero
This shipyard is located at the entrance to Dalcahue. It is a place where carpenters work, building boats. You will see large keels, pieces cut from branches of trees, copper nails.

Museum of Ethnographic Anthropologic History of Dalcahue
This museum is located at 105 Pedro Montt in a palafito house, and is dedicated to the chono and huilliche people. There are exhibits showing the use of wood in craftwork, folkloric instruments, collections of ceramics, coins, wild animals and photographs of landscapes and people.

The evolution of the chilote people is portrayed here, and there’s also an important collection of lítico material and of wooden articles.

Costanera
This is the busiest part of the town, especially in relation to commerce. In this sector you’ll find the Cultural Center of Dalcahue, made up of a library and the Museum of History and Ethnography.

Church of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores of Dalcahue
Located in the Plaza of Dalcahue, its main fiesta takes place on 15 September in honor of the patron saint, Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. It was founded in 1849, declared a National Monument in 1971, and a World Heritage site in December of 2000.
