Frutillar is 26 km from Puerto Varas, 20 km from Llanquihue, 70 km from Osorno and 983 km from Santiago.

By Plane:
You can take a flight to El Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt, Calle O’Higgins 107, where there are both international and local services. Other alternatives are the ‘Carlos Hott Siebert’ Airport in Osorno, Calle Ramírez 802, or the airport in Valdivia, where there are only local flights. There is also a grass airstrip in excellent condition in Frutillar Alto.
By Car:
From the interior:
Ruta Internacional 225 (the Lakes crossing from Argentina). This road is in the process of being paved from the villages of Cascadas and Ensenada, which will make it possible to drive 90% of the way round the lake, the only obstruction being the sector between the towns of Puerto Varas and Llanquihue.

From the north or the south:
The Pan-American Highway, Ruta 5 (with dual carriageway in excellent condition), links the capital of Chile, Santiago, with Puerto Montt. It skirts Lago Llanquihue, the closest points being Frutillar, Llanquihue and Puerto Varas.

By Bus:
There are daily services departing from the Bus Terminals of Temuco, Osorno, Valdivia, Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt and some other towns in the interior. Ask in the bus terminal wherever you are.
