(Number of Articles Reads in Hanga Roa: 27.642)

The only city on Isla de Pascua; practically the entire population of the island lives here. The city includes the post office, telephones, law courts and bank, with both catholic and local monuments dispersed among them. There are hotels, boarding houses and restaurants.

The city is in the western part of the island. The main street, Policarpo Toro, runs north-south, crossing Te Pito Te Henua where the public services and commerce are housed.

There is a creek with an ahu or altar, with Moai statues, and at its feet a beach covered with coral where turtles come in. Adventurous diving can be done here.
