The Chango People
(Reads: 3552, since 03-Mar-2010)They established their camps in sites where shell-fish collection and fishing were good, going out in bands to reconnoitre new sites. They traded with the indians of the interior (Aymaras, Diaguitas and Atacameños), from whom they obtained agricultural products. They lived in shelters sewn of sea lion skins, supported on sticks or whale ribs. Their fishing implements included nets, hooks and copper-pointed harpoons.
