La Unión is located 895 km from Santiago and 40 km from Osorno. You can get there:

By Plane:
You can fly to either Osorno or Valdivia, from where you should take a bus or finish your journey by car.

By Car:
La Unión is located 10 km from the Panamericana Sur Highway, and you need to take this road whether you are coming from the north of south. It is 40 km from Osorno going northbound, until you get to the Los Tambores Intersection, where you need to head west for 10 km until you reach La Unión.

If you are coming from Valdivia, you need to get on the Panamericana Sur Highway at the Paillaco intersection, then stay on this road until the Los Tambores intersection, which you take for La Unión.

By Bus:
Several departures leave daily from various cities in the south, like Osorno and Valdivia. You can also take a direct bus from Santiago. Check for details in local bus terminals.
