Los Vilos is located 224 km north of Santiago and 246 km south of La Serena. You can get there:

By Car:

You can get there from Santiago, or from the North, on the Carretera Panamericana Ruta 5 Norte until the turnoff. Los Vilos is reached by traveling West for 2 km.

If you are coming from Santiago or any other place to the south, take the same road along the Ruta 5 Norte, traveling north, until the turnoff.

By Bus:

There are frequent departures from Santiago and La Serena that make the journey, as all buses going to the coast stop off in Los Vilos so passengers can rest and have something to eat. Check with local bus terminals for timetables and fares.
