This resort is open all year round, although the ski season is limited to the winter months. It is set in the Puyehue National Park, on the slopes of the Casablanca Volcano, 98 Km from Osorno on international route 215. From here the border with Argentina is only 30 km away over the Puyehue pass. It has four drag lifts and a chair lift. The 13 pistes of dry snow are a pleasure for both experts and beginners. There is also a ski school with instructors to teach all ages from three upwards, and equipment hire is available. This is the only operating ski resort in the Los Lagos Region. The excellent tourism infrastructure includes restaurants, bars, fast food, coffee shop and fully-equipped hotel.
 
The ski centre is open and welcomes winter sports enthusiasts from mid June to October; the lifts run from 09.00 to 17.30 hrs. In the surrounding area you can visit the Aguas Calientes hot springs, Puyehue hot springs, the Cerro Colorado mountain, Rupanco Lake, Puyehue Lake, Paraíso Lake, and the smaller Bertin Lake. In summer you can go on interesting excursions to Toro and El Encanto lakes and El Paraíso. Other sights you can visit are the Raihuén crater and the Cerro Mirador (Look-out point) hill.
