Puerto Aisénlies 1,625 km south of Santiago and 67 km from Coihaique.
There are a number of different ways to get to Puerto Aisén.
By Plane:
This is the most commonly used and efficient way to get to the area. You can fly into Balmaceda Airport, which is 55 km southeast of Coihaique. There is also the Aeródromo Teniente Vidal, which is 7 km southwest of Coihaique.
By Car:
If you are travelling by car you can drive via the Carretera Austral from Puerto Montt in the north or from Cochrane in the south.
By Boat:
If you travel by boat, you can sail to Puerto Chacabuco, which is the main port of the area, 82 km northeast of Coihaique.
