The island is located on the Pacific Ocean at the same latitude as Valparaíso and it has a population of 500. The most important economic activity here is lobster fishing.

There is an interesting development of flora and fauna on the island. Species of particular interest are la luma, el sándalo, el lobo del mar de dos pelos and the Juan Fernández hummingbird.

The Parque Nacional Archipiélago Juan Fernández is located on the island, in which there is an environmental Information Center.

During your visit to Isla Robinson Crusoe you will be able to visit the Fuerte Santa Bárbara and the nearby Cuevas de los Patriotas. The island’s cemetary, Mirador del Selkirk and the Cueva de Robinson Crusoe are sites that should not be missed.
