Vergara Quay

This is situated in Avenida San Martín between 10 Norte and 12 Norte. It is an engineering construction, built in 1910, for the Viña del Mar Sugar Refinery Company, CRAV. You can still see the old crane that was used to load and unload cargo from the ships docked in the quay.

The quay was remodeled in 1983 and converted into a beautiful tourist attraction, walkway, vantage point and restaurant where fishing activities are also organised. You can see Valparaíso Bay and the surrounding coastal areas of Viña del Mar.


 It has all the essential safety requirements and provides visitors with a restaurant, piano bar, handcrafts and an ice cream parlour.


 On Tuesday 9th May 2000, Viña del Mar City Council awarded it the status of a Historic and Arquitectural Building .
